The Taipei Jazz Festival has become a platform for jazz musicians to all come together and perform in Taipei.
All the events span across September and October, and are absolutely free to attend. These events include a series of talks, workshops, concerts, and a large outdoor concert which will be held at Da’an Forest Park.

As part of the Taipei Hakka Yimin Festival 2018, there will be a small Hakka market which is dedicated at highlighting the Hakka culture and to promote their products as merchandise from Hakka communities all across Taiwan.

The Taipei Hakka Yimin Festival is one of the most significant annual events of the Hakka people in Taipei. This year, the festival will take place between October 13th and 15th as a three day event at the Taipei City Hakka Cultural Park.

The Taipei Naruwan Cultural Festival will be held in collaboration with various indigenous groups from across northern Taiwan. It will bring together traditional rites, athletic competitions, and cultural and art exhibitions and performances.

The Chinese Taipei Open is a HSBC World Tour Super 300 tournament, one of 11 Super 300 tournaments on the Tour. Formally known as the Chinese Taipei Open Grand Prix Gold, the tournament is almost as old as Taiwan’s history.

Nuit Blanche Taipei is a cultural performance event which attracts 200,000 people annually who come to experience the visual art work and various cultural performances and activities.

Taiwan celebrates Confucius Day on September 28 2018. The Confucius Day Commemoration Ceremony begins at 6am, and lasts all throughout the day. This is an annual ceremony at the temple.

The 2018 Taipei Dragon Boat Festival attracts people from all over Asia to observe this annual celebration. A spectacle of over 212 dragon boats, all with various colors and designs, will compete to see who’s this year’s fastest boat!
In addition to the main Taipei Dragon Boat Festival competition, there will be a variety of other traditional activities taking place. There will be dragon boat training sessions, dragon boat eye painting, an egg-balancing contest and a rice dumpling making workshop.

Emperor Bao Sheng (Medicine God) was born on the 15th day of the third lunar month. On that day every year, the Bao’an Temple hosts a special ritual and organizes a Bao Sheng Cultural Festival.
The cultural festival includes a series of religious and folkloric cultural activities and events, including festive procession, birthday celebration, and setting off of Fire Lion firecrackers, the fire walking ritual and Surname Folk Opera Series of the Folk Theater.
