The Taipei Film Festival 2018 is an annual multi-cultural event containing film and other film culture-related activities.
This year’s Taipei Film Festival is one of the most important and high-profile international cultural events in Taiwan, with screenings around 160 films from over 40 different countries. The Festival attracts not only moviegoers but also film professionals with approximately 100,000 attendants each year.

The 2018 Taipei Dragon Boat Festival attracts people from all over Asia to observe this annual celebration. A spectacle of over 212 dragon boats, all with various colors and designs, will compete to see who’s this year’s fastest boat!
In addition to the main Taipei Dragon Boat Festival competition, there will be a variety of other traditional activities taking place. There will be dragon boat training sessions, dragon boat eye painting, an egg-balancing contest and a rice dumpling making workshop.

Emperor Bao Sheng (Medicine God) was born on the 15th day of the third lunar month. On that day every year, the Bao’an Temple hosts a special ritual and organizes a Bao Sheng Cultural Festival.
The cultural festival includes a series of religious and folkloric cultural activities and events, including festive procession, birthday celebration, and setting off of Fire Lion firecrackers, the fire walking ritual and Surname Folk Opera Series of the Folk Theater.

The 2018 Creative Expo in Taiwan begins on April 18 in Taipei City, highlighting the country’s dynamic cultural and creative industry and internationally renowned spirit of innovation.
Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Taiwan Design Center, the five-day event, from April 18 (Wed) to the 22 (Sun), is taking place at Huashan 1914 Creative Park, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, and Taipei Expo Park. In addition to the latest products by exhibitors from home and abroad, the expo features bazaars, exhibitions and film screenings bringing visitors up to speed on Taiwan’s unique brand of design.

The 2018 Calla Lily Festival begins on March 30th, and lasts until April 29th at Yangmingshan.
Hidden away in the mountains, a sea of white calla lilies at Taipei’s Zhuzihu farming village promises a relaxing stay for visitors. The Azalea Festival now kicks off from the 14th of March as the azalea season begins. It is said that 160,000 Azaleas will be planted this year, with up to 8 kinds of Azalea flowers. The flowers are predicted to bloom around late March which is later than usual due to cooler weather this past winter.
