
Taiwan declares April 4 as Children’s Day, making it a public holiday in Taiwan.
The holiday dates back to 1931 and since then schools often hold special activities in order to celebrate the occasion.
Because of pressure from parents demanding to accompany their children in the celebration, Taiwan celebrated Women’s Day together with Children’s Day on the 4th of April 1991.
🗓️ Children’s Day is a public holiday in Taiwan, making it a day off for schools and most businesses.
What activities are expected for Children’s Day?
Generally, Children’s Day activities commonly happen in Greater Taipei.
Various activities usually take place in these areas of South Taipei
– South Taipei Fun Carnival – South Taipei Fun Carnival usually begins with a two-month exhibition in GACC Space No.1.
– Taipei City for performances in music, theater, and films – In front of Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute, children’s theater troupes usually perform South Taipei Fun Theater.
