Event Description
Meet at Jiantan MRT Station, take a bus up to Yangmingshan park, and then hike up Qixingshan, the highest peak in Yangmingshan, for some great views of Taipei and the north coast.
This trip begins (and ends) at the Jiantan MRT Station where we will take the bus to Yangmingshan (YMS) National Park.
Standing at a lofty 1,120 meters, Qixingshan is YMS’s highest peak and is easily accessible thanks to a number of well-marked trails. This stunning hike takes you up to the mountain’s summit for some beautiful Taipei city views.
Time permitting, we will visit the beautiful nature reserve at Dream Lake on the way back. This is a moderately strenuous 8km hike, including uphill climbing with many steps.
