❤️🖤💚 Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the announcement of the abolition of slavery in the U.S. state of Texas in 1865. It has been celebrated across US states in the south since 1866 and became a federal holiday in the U.S. in 2021.

❤️🖤💚 This year, we are celebrating this holiday in Taipei with an event, where you can hear Black artists, speakers, and activists. We will share our food & drinks, cultures, experiences, music, art, and performances around the theme of Juneteenth. Bring your heart to the stage, make it inspirational and jubilant, as we celebrate freedom.
