ParticipantYes. You will each need to get proof that you are single from your home country first (which varies by country), then head to the household registration office where one of you lives.

ParticipantIf either of you are from the UK, you’ll have to get married in HK for the marriage to be recognized.

You can but you need to go to HK for the documents to do so, or the UK so people just get married there to save the hassle and register upon return. It listed on the Government of UK website.
