Since we are a large and ever-growing expat group, it's very important now that we maintain the quality of this group for the good of the entire community. ~ So here are the rules:

1) Rules on being Kind & Courteous:
We're all in this community together to create a welcoming and supportive environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required. ~ Our Taipei community is for us to seek and share recommendations and advice.
2) Rules on Hate Speech or Bullying:
Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
3) Rules on Advertising & Irrelevant Promotions:
Irrelevant posts and spammy links are strictly forbidden. ~ If you are looking Self-promote or advertise with a Post Ad, then A) It MUST be relevant and beneficial, and B) It must go through us: https://taipeiexpats.com/advertising/ (for approval).
Note: All unapproved ads will be deleted immediately, and you would also risk being removed and blocked from the group.
4) Rules on Respect & Everyone's Privacy:
Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in the group should stay in the group.
~ All in all, to help protect everyone, and make them feel safe in the group, we reserve the right to remove and block anyone from the group if necessary.
