PLEASE HELP ME SING! I sang in Mei guo semi-professionally for years with the St. Bartholomew's Choir in NYC, the NYU Chorale, the NY Lyric Opera, the Seattle Opera, the Sacramento City College Choir, the Monash University Chorale in Melbourne, the University of California at Davis Choir. the North Coast Chorale in Astoria, Oregon, and have performed at dozens of weddings, recorded commercial soundtracks, etc..
But since moving to Taiwan this year and just now starting to xue Zhongwen, my singing opportunities have dwindled.
So, I would like to either hire an accompanist or work with a church accompanist to polish up baritone arias (Handel's Messiah season is coming up), oratorio solos and/or popular songs that I would perform absolutely free for church services, weddings, funerals, whatever, or sing with a choir or group.
I JUST WANT TO SING FOR THE FUN OF IT!
