New Year’s Day marks the start of the year in the Gregorian calendar and it’s a public holiday in many countries as well as Taiwan.
There has always been a countdown firework celebration to the New Year by Taipei 101.
This year’s Taipei 101 fireworks display is designed with the theme “Towards a better future” in the hope of healing people’s hearts and also to drum up morale so that people in Taiwan and the international community can look toward a better future of peace, happiness, and a prosperous 2025.
🗓️ New Year’s Day is a public holiday, making it a day off for schools and most businesses.
