Taiwan annually celebrates Teachers’ Day, also known as Confucius Day on September 28. This holiday commemorates the birthday of Confucius.
Celebration of Teachers’ Day occurs in the temples of Confucius all around Taiwan. A number of dancers and musicians participate in this festival which is known as the Grand Ceremony Dedicated to Confucius.
In addition to the religious festival, all the teachers are awarded for their excellent work and efforts. The celebration of Teachers’ Day is a good opportunity for students to visit their teachers and express their words of gratitude and respect.
🗓️ Teacher’s Day is an observed holiday, all schools and businesses should still be running as usual. However, there may be events and celebrational activities organized by various schools across Taiwan.
